Manuscript Ready is a Google Docs™ add-on published by Dropzball ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the add-on uses and why. In short: your manuscript stays in your Google account. We never copy it to our own servers, never sell it, and never use it to train anything.
The document you have open. The add-on reads and edits only the Google Doc in which you open it, to count words, apply standard manuscript format and create an agent sample. This processing runs inside Google's own infrastructure (Google Apps Script). The text of your manuscript is never sent to us or to any third party.
Agent samples you create. When you ask for an agent sample, the add-on creates a new Google Doc in your own Google Drive. Only you can access it unless you share it.
Author details you type (legal name, pen name, email, address/phone). They are stored in your own Google account (Apps Script user properties) so the form is pre-filled next time. We cannot read them.
Your Google account email address. Used only to check whether you have bought Manuscript Ready Pro (see section 2).
Manuscript Ready Pro is sold through Stripe, which processes the payment, the taxes and the invoice. Stripe collects your email address and payment details under Stripe's privacy policy; we never see your card number. To unlock Pro, the add-on sends your email address (your Google account email, or the purchase email you type) to our licence server, which asks Stripe whether a completed purchase exists for that email and answers "Pro" or "free". The licence server keeps that answer in a temporary cache for up to six hours and keeps no other record.
We do not store, read or analyse the content of your documents.
We do not sell, rent or share personal data, and we show no advertising.
We do not use your data, or any Google user data, to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Manuscript Ready's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your documents and agent samples stay in your Google Drive until you delete them. To remove the add-on's access and stored preferences, uninstall Manuscript Ready and revoke its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Stripe keeps purchase records as required by law; you can ask us to delete any other data by email.
If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data and to object to its processing. Write to us at the address below. You may also contact your data protection authority (in France: the CNIL).
